Tenchu Z coming to XBOX 360
Microsoft today announced that Japanese developer FromSoftware are currently developing a 360 exclusive instalment in the popular Tenchu franchise.
Expected for release before the end of Q3 2007, Tenchu Z will further develop the series now obligatory stealthy approach to Ninja based hacking and slashing focusing more on the need to keep a keen eye for visual prompts, sounds and believe it or not, smells. Sounds a little like Metal Gear Solid, with ninjas and fancy armour (good thing?).
Tenchu has been around for many years and started life on Sony’s original Playstation console. Despite some mixed reviews throughout the series, the Tenchu games have always been popular in the land of the rising sun generating some decent sales figures for the developer. Success in other territories has been a little more difficult to achieve and only time will tell if this 360 exclusive will prove to be a turning point.
