Mercenaries 2 - Confirmed for 360
Ending months of speculation, developer Pandemic today announced that ‘Mercenaries 2 (World In Flames)’ will be released on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and PS2 during the 2007 festive season.
Long assumed to be a PS3 exclusive, rumours began circulating towards the end of last year that a 360 version was also in the works. This became an assumption and had not been officially confirmed until today’s announcement.
Andrew Goldman, CEO of Pandemic said today….
“Mercenaries 2: World in Flames delivers the next evolution in explosive open world gameplay - regardless of the system you play it on,”…..
“All four platforms are incredible gaming machines, and from the beginning we designed an experience that accentuates their individual strengths and delivers the interactive freedom and explosive action Mercenaries fans demand.”
Whilst this may prove true for the next-gen versions - one can only imagine what the PS2 adaption will look and play like.
