Crackdown demo hits a million downloads
It seems the buzz around Crackdown is never-ending at the moment. Company spokesperson Colin Macdonald today revealed that the demo has now been downloaded over 1,000,000 times since its debut on Xbox Live a couple of weeks ago.
With strong sales in the US and a European launch today, things are looking good for the Scotland-developed title. Would it have garnered this much interest without the small matter of Halo 3 tagging along for the ride? Probably not, but for once its good to see a marketing drive highlighting a strong title that may have otherwise gained little press coverage.

I seem to be alone in this but I don’t see what the big deal is with this game. I played the demo and the idea of running around collecting orbs seems like it will be fun for a while but get old quickly. As I said I seem to be the only person with this opinion as most people I have spoke to are really looking forward to this game. I will be interested to see what people think a week or two after release though.
