Peter Moore : “…..we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve…”

Peter Moore has announced (during an interview with respected gaming site Game Informer…) that Microsoft is currently looking at it’s Xbox 360 strategy with a view to diversifying in to a more family friendly persona.

“From a first-party point of view, it’s not just about E-rated games, it’s going to be about the experience that, quite frankly, Nintendo has done a tremendous job in capturing, in bringing back fun - if you will - to the gaming platforms”

Going on to highlight that the 360 is the only next-gen console to go without motion sensing controllers (although I think only 1 does it properly!) Peter responded with

“But we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve as well to be able to do that. It’s not something that we’re going to be shy about, and it’s not something that we’re not painfully aware of that needs to be changed by this holiday. That has been the strategy all along, and we’ll be making some more announcements in the coming month or two.”

Does this mean a Wii-Mote like controller for the 360? Whilst certainly plausible, is it really necessary? Have your say in the comments section below..
