Devil May Cry 4 : Confirmed for 360
Capcom have announced that ‘Devil May Cry 4′ is indeed in development for Xbox 360. Whilst rumoured for a while now, this is the first official confirmation straight from the Japanese developer.
What’s perhaps more surprising, is the announcement that the title will release simultaneously on both 360 and PS3.
In a press release, Capcom said….
“The latest iteration, “Devil May Cry 4″ will take advantage of each platform’s hardware strengths to achieve the most stunning visuals in the series to date, and the introduction of a mysterious new protagonist will keep the action fast and fresh. …
“Devil May Cry 4″ will be released simultaneously for the PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360™ platforms.”
I for one hope the fourth instalment will see a return to the series roots. I was particularly fond of the first title in the series but never quite got on with it’s sequels.

This is some of the best news I have heard for a long while. DMC was the one game that had me wanting a PS3, and i was very disheartened knowing that i couldn’t justify £430 for one game. The first DMC does certainly go down in my personal gaming history as one of the most fun titles ever, I mean seriously you walked along with one gun facing forward and one pointing back over your shoulder blasting giant marionettes and then juggling them with bullets, so much fun.
I am now a happy, happy boy.
