From today you can download an episode of South Park entitled “Good Times With Weapons”, for free from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The episode is in high definition (720p), not bad if you ask me. Hopefully more freebies will be appearing on the Marketplace in the future.

Activision have confirmed that the first screenshot from the new Tranformers game is indeed from the Xbox360 version. Whilst you cant really tell a lot from one image it seems like they’ve taken a psuedo-real approach to the design, which is a little disconcerting. I mean, with the amount of cell-shading going on in other genres you’d think that something like Transformers would be a perfect fit. Apparently not.

Crackdown: “the disc that comes with the halo 3 beta”. Cynical decision to sell more units of a title many thought would fail? Or clever ploy to divert attention to an excellent game that may have otherwise been missed by many? Whatever your thoughts on Microsoft’s decision to include the beta in the initial run, to ignore Crackdown on that basis would be to miss out on one of the more unique gaming experiences in this or any other year. If you own it, put the disc in, try it.
