Xbox 360 ‘Metal Gear Solid 4′ & ‘Gears of War 2′ to be shown at E3?
With the newly formed E3 show now only a matter of weeks away, the traditional yearly rumour mill spurns in to action. First on our list of things today is the possibility of some rather tasty information for 360 owners come July.Canadian website ‘Xbox Today’ are reporting a number of rumours surrounding Microsoft’s press conference announcements to be made during this years pre-show press explosion.
Chief amongst them are murmurings that both Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gears of War 2 will be shown in some form or another.
MGS4 has long been rumoured to be making an appearance on the 360 and it’s a story that just wont go away. Perhaps E3 will put an end to these stories one way or the other. With Rockstar granting exclusive rights to downloadable content for GTA4, it can only be a matter of time before other publishers take the multi-platform approach. It may of course be a totally different Solid Snake game and entirely unrelated to the 4th in the series.
Gears of War 2 on the other hand is almost a certainty. Expect a very short video only demo geared towards showing off some new tech and environments.
The list of rumours continues with
- New Crimson Skies game will be announced.
- Bungie working on new title unrelated to anything in the Halo/Marathon Universe.
- Epic Gamesto show some Gears of War 2
- Microsoft have bought the Star Wars Battlefront 3 rights. Trailer/Demo to be shown.
- Rare to show off Banjo Kazooie 3 (Banjo-Theerie).
- Rare to announce 2 new games.
- Rare to announce Kameo 2.
- Lionhead Studios show more of Fable 2.
- Microsoft to fund a new game based on Jason Bourne. It’ll be based on the books and not the films.
- Team Ninja to show off Ninja Gaiden 2 which will be confirmed as 360 Exclusive.
- MGS Game for the 360. May or may not be the 4th Instalment.
- Dead Rising 2 to be shown. May not be ready.

This will be one of the greatest days of the year… I am hoping for more Fable 2 info, and of corse more Halo!

I’m just not getting the Halo ‘bug’ this time round - was disappointed by the multiplayer centric sequel and it looks like the third wont be any different…
I’m really looking forward to Fable 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2 though - somewhat closer on the horizon is Overlord, for which the demo was quite frankly ace!

i don’t think the playstation 3 is crap or that it’s going to die (at least i hope not) i just think buying one this early it it’s life is a bad idea, i waited a whole year to buy my xbox 360 and i’m going to wait a year or 2 to buy a ps3 when it’s cheaper and with more exclusive titles.
but anyway i hope they’ll show dead rising 2 and gears of war 2, not that exited about halo 3 though.

I am god and i see a future for the 360 oh is that a house burning down from overheating? or just the fact that the person lit the 360 on fire cause they saw 3 pretty red lights? if metal gear solid 4 came to xbox 360 there is seriously no point in ever looking at a PS3 looking forward to halo 3 aswell of course and very excited about gears 2 but solid snake wipes the floor with them all

this is the last year for the xbox 360’s reign, next yeat its all about the most advanced and greatest console on earth, THE PS3. MGS4 is not heading for the 360, cuz its run on blu-ray…i could off said “nuff said” but other things too be pointed out aswell like that fact that you see characters (snake, otacon) holding ps3 accessories in the game itself, hideo (director) said they would need extra money and staff to make it on another platforms. AND even if it did come out on the 360, it would be too little too late…ppl wouldnt care anymore, everyone would have bought the ps3 by then… LOOOOOOOOOOOL

I love metal gear but i got xbox360 caus off all this games that comes out, i sold my PS3 last week and i got the 360.There is no point to have a ps3 when devil may cry 4 is coming to 360 and much more games that was ps3 exclusive,but i cant stand the fealing that MGS4 is not gonna come to 360,if it dose im gonna br the most huppy man in the world..!

Ps3 rulez best console ever well no this year next year i got two games and i just rented out halo 3 and im telling you warhawk gave me more exciment than halo 3 mgs4 is a ps3 exclusive no dout they owe song

Who the hell is dumb enough to buy a console for $600 for one game. I myself am a huge, HUGE fan of the MGS series but I bought the 360 anyway cuz i know that as big a loss it would be not to play MGS4, i know 3 verrrry important things. 1) Even if it is true that MGS4 will not be coming to the 360, it is also true that it is Hideo Kojima’s last MGS title which means that there will be no more MGS to look forward to after this hits the shelves. 2) I’m sorry to say but MGS4 is only One game, ONE GAME ppl, and can only be played for so long before a person will eventually get bored and tired and wait for another decent game to release on the ps3, which, besides God of War 3, aren’t many. (the rest are also available on 360 like dmc so need to count those) 3) I’ll say it again, MGS4 is the LAST, FINAL, FINISH to the series and seeing as how it is the END of the series the outcome of the game is made ridiculously PREDICTABLE AND OBVIOUS, especially with the help of konami’s trailers…SOLID SNAKE KILLS LIQUID OCELOT, DEFEATS HIS ARMY, MOST PROBABLY RESTORES ORDER TO THE WORLD, AND FINALLY KILLS HIMSELF, ENDING THE BLOODLINE ALONG WITH THE SERIES…which is pretty much the only way the game could end, unless they wanna be overly realistic and show that the bad guys win…Oh yeah and after the end, ur gonna start realizing that u paid $660 just to play a SINGLE game…NO ONE SHUD BUY A CONSOLE FOR JUST ONE GAME! unless ur really loaded! in which case just buy 360 and ps3 and leave it at that…peace…
