Namco Bandai Games have confirmed this morning that ‘Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation’ will be released for the Xbox 360 in the US on October 23rd. At the time of writing, no date has yet been announced for release in PAL territories.

Ace Combat 6 is the first in the popular series to land on the next-gen consoles, and is currently believed to be a 360 exclusive. Additions to the series include Allied Support, Xbox Live! Multiplayer and what Namco are calling a ‘Dynamic Operations System’.

Screenies from the game are looking pretty damn sweet at the moment. Fingers crossed the final release code meets the high expectations.

The official site for the game can be found here, and features a pretty trendy teaser intro. (opens in new window).

there is a demo on the marketplace for this game now, no complaints but no real compliments either. Controls were tight, but sense of speed was lacking
