Xbox Live Arcade gets a little crazy
Xbox Live Arcade went bonkers this week, and they’ve let loose a few License to Ill classics, the kind we used to wet our pants over(some of us still do). Genesis fans should be happy with Sonic the Hedgehog and GoldenAxe available immediatley. Haven’t played them in a while, but I think we all remember the cool sound the dwarf makes when he gets thrown off a horse/dragon. Bomberman Live was also announced this week, but somehow nobody really cared. Lets hope they can bring back some of the oldschool charm the blue guy used to have.
A few sequels to already popular games included “Hexic 2″, and “Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords”. Those ruthless warlords and their puzzles…

Sierra Online (Assault Heroes) announced 3 titles it has planned for the summer: A cool puzzle game called “SwitchBall”, a more strategic, turn-based battle game with “Commanders: Attack!”, and a game based on the sci-fi channell series “Battlestar Gallactica.
Another title in the works is a FPS that Bunjie used to distribute on Macs, you may have heard of it before. The sequel to Marathon, Marathon: Durandal is the predecessor to the original Halo:Combat Evolved, and has similar story/gameplay elements.
The one I’m most looking forward to is “War World” from Ubisoft/ThirdWave. Looks like a 3rd person Mech/Shooter, and I really couldn’t believe this was Live Arcade when I saw the screenshot. Hopefully in between all the premium games being released this holiday we don’t miss a few of these gems. Download On!!
