Skate - First Impressions

danny_air.jpg

When you think about Skate Boarding games you think about Tony Hawk, simply because for years that series has been the leading franchise for pulling gnarly grinds and big air. Problem is for many it’s a partially rose tinted view of things.
Many of us, at least those old enough to do so, remember Tony’s first […]

July NPD Numbers : Xbox 360 outsells PS3 again

npd07.jpg

I’m shocked.
Last month, we posted a rather controversial article ‘Xbox 360 outsells PS3 by over 100%‘ which concentrated on the NPD number for June. Everybody knew at the time that PS3 was not selling as well as Sony would have hoped but the 2:1 sales ratio was a surprise even for a 360 website like […]

Xbox 360 Live Arcade : Space Giraffe gets 2/10 in OXM (Thanks to moronic reviewer)

sg2.jpg

Have you spent the last few months salivating over Jeff Minter’s latest title Space Giraffe? I certainly have…
Imagine my horror then, when this morning I heard that the Official Xbox Magazine gave the title a particularly poor 2/10. I swear I started sulking almost immediately. I’ve been waiting for Space Giraffe to arrive on Live! […]

Halo Vs Metroid?

360wire1.JPG

Two big game trilogies and two end of summer release dates are making for the main event of 2007. With Sony throwing in the towel this season, Nintendo has grown into the giant of yesteryear, but Microsoft is still punching hard. Punching my pocket that is.
It’s hard to squeeze a game purchase out once a […]
