Circle of Doom 2008

The 4th game in the Kingdom Under Fire series should drop in Febuary, and if they know whats good for them they’ll release a great game on time. Xbox 360 needs a decent action/rpg, like really bad. Oblivion is still one of my favorite games, but considering I maxxed my combat skills out sometime in 2006, the 3 or 4 fighting maneuvers have felt a little dry for sometime. With the crutch that is Diablo 2, I’ve been able to sustain my level up addiction in the interim, (I refuse to play PC MMOs), but now there looks to be light at the end of the tunnel.

“We wanted to create something simple but with a lot of depth,” says Harry Lee in a 1up interview during a closed viewing at the Tokyo Game Show.
Looks like a great inventory system with customizable gear alongside some decent action mechanics, all they needs now be a good story and some shiny graphics.

4-player co-op mode via Xbox LIVE
6 unique characters who can wield 5-6 different types of weapons each.
50+ abilities, 60+ enhancements, and infinite combinations of weapon+ability+enhancement.
70+ monsters ranging from 3-foot goblins to towering behemoths.

The game is billed as a fully playable single player experience, but the 4player coop certainly doesn’t hurt, lets hope they implement it right. 6 playable characters and the amount of skills makes me feel like I’m kickn arse in the Blood Moor all over again! With this and Too Human dropping next year, as well as Lost Odyssey right around the corner, the 360 is getting some bigtime RPG Steroids this year, and I couldn’t be happier.
