First case of GTA related violence reported in UK

It was perhaps only a matter of time.

Today, BBC News are reporting the first case of GTA related violence. An 18 year old from England met up with his friend at midnight to collect his copy of GTA from his local store. With the game in hand, both skipped (we assume) merrily home eager to get to grips with this years biggest software release. Well, that was the plan until he was mugged on the way.

“Det Sgt Claire Lancaster of Lancashire police said: “This was a nasty attack the motive of which seems to have been the video game.

“The victim was taken to Royal Preston Hospital and has suffered a broken nose and a broken jaw. I would appeal to any witnesses to come forward and contact the police.”

The two robbers are described as white and aged between 18 and 20.”
